I've set the engine to record in mpeg2 format (easier to transfer to dvd). I set media-portal to record Heroes and closed down the client - I checked the engine configuration and this said it was recording, so off to bed I went. Got up this morning and checked the recording, but it seems to not have worked. A folder has been created with the title of the program I was recording, and inside this is 2 files. An mpg file of 0 bytes, and an xml file containing the description of the program from the epg. Inside the recording folder it has 4 ts files, that match to around the time the recording started and stopped, but there is no dvr-ms to play the recording, nor am i able to play the mpg file. The svn I had downloaded was 16420 (as the latest one wasn't available) I haven't managed to attach any logs as of yet (due to having to go to work), and probably won't be able to get them until Sunday (as away), but if get a chance will save off logs and post up if near a internet connection forgot to add this is process went through installed sql2005, then the manager for it installed tv engine installed media-portal installed mp client regards walkerx [/QUOTE]
