tv-server client plugin not working (1 Viewer)

Hi all

Ok I have installed the server system onto the PC and it seams to be running fine.

When i try to install the Plugin for the Client (also installed on the same PC) it looks like it installs just fine, with no errors. But whn i run Media Portal and select "My TV" the option to select the server dose not come up and I got straigt into my old TV screen.

I can't find anyone else having this problem. Im running Media Portal 0.2.3.RC1 and TV server 0.2.3_RC1 with both been clean installs, im also using SQL express for the back end. All of my .Net are upto date and the services are all running fine. (as far as i can tell)

If the server and the client are on the same machine then it does not need to ask. If you enter "My TV" if one of the button is "Stream" , I think doing this from memory, then you are using TV Server.

Make sure there are no TV-Cards configured in MediaPortal Config. (Afaik the Clientplugin installer takes care of that but im not 100% sure)

To be sure just start watching TV and have a look at the TV Server Management console (manuel control). It should show what's going on.

I have the same problem and i see the streambutton but when i klick it nothing happens. I have no TV-cards in the MP config and have scanned and found almost every channel (dunno if the Thor-list for Sweden is ok) in the TV-server and that is ok, but in my configurationlog i have a lot of missing string errors...

Before installing the TVserver i could use both MP and DVBviewer. Now when i have issues with Mp i wanted to use DVB but i can´t see anything there either and when i try to scan for channels in myTheater it says - No signal on every transponder. Does the SQl + TVserver lock my TVcard in some way or what has happened ?????

ooh my bad !!!! I just saw that the SVN wasn´t installed, sorry. Will fix this later. But the other problems still exists - i can´t use the other programs to see TV wich worked fine before installing MP, strange... But that is another situation not related to this...

Stevieg_73 - you will need to stop the tv service for those other programs to work, you are right in that the tvservice is "holding" the card and wont release it.
