TV-Server crashing frequently / very large logfiles (1 Viewer)

Hello Folks,

I'm going mad.... my TV-Server crashes 5-10 times a day.
There is no error-message in the logs (at least none that I can identify) but windows eventlog (application) shows the following:

Faulting application tvservice.exe, version 1.1.2.0, stamp 4cea4597, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.5781, stamp 49c4f482, debug? 0, fault address 0x00012afb.

The last crash happened at 08:04:43.

The attached tv.log does not show anything at this time but contains hundreds or thousands of lines about the same duplicate recording. Maybe this is the cause. Tv.log has a filesize of > 12MB for less than 10 hours of server uptime!

Any help would be appreciated!

Looks like the scheduler has gone crazy. All the extra logging could potentially slow TV Service down to a crawl or maybe crash it in extreme cases. You might need to clean all the schedules out of your database...

I don't think there is any way to save your database, because re-inserting everything would probably bring the problem back. You could try deleting the schedules one by one in TV Server configuration until the problem is resolved. That way you might save some of your schedules...

Hi!

I did delete all schedules and recreated them afterwards. I noticed that some recordings got scheduled multiple times. I suspect my EPG database to be corrupted.
Is there a way to clear the EPG database (program.myd) and refill it? I'm using Clickfinder so that would be no problem.

Hi again

I don't know anything about Clickfinder, but I'm guessing that the schedule gets imported somehow via the XMLTV plugin. In that case, you can tick the "delete old programs before import" option.
