TV-Server does'nt stop scheduled recordings (1 Viewer)

Sorry but i don't think that is the problem.
the ESENT discribed in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensible_Storage_Engine is a Windows Technology and has nothing to do with the mysql-database

There is nothing else to see, so it looks like the scheduler threads might have silently died or deadlocked after starting the first recording, but I don't see why.

Hmmm, is there a reason that you're running the TV service in compatibility mode?

[edit: This is really puzzling me... because the scheduler code should catch and log exceptions... and I can't see anywhere for the scheduler to deadlock. It is like the scheduler thread silently dies or isn't executing periodically as intended. I guess compatibility mode could mess with things like that...]

i didn't recognized that - but in the properties for the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TvService.exe is nothing active
may be - after i kill the service the first time, windows has made the compablitymode active after the problemanalysis.

To me this seems suspicious. I think we need to find a way to disable the compatibility mode.

when i use the compatibilty mode for "windows 7" - activated in the properties from the tvservice.exe file
-> in the log is the same line: TVService v1.5.0.0 is starting up on Compatibilty Mode: Windows 8 [6.2.9200.0]

so where can i setup the compatibility mode for the tvservice?

From the code, it seems TV service is detecting that it is running in compatibility mode by comparing the information reported by the C#/.NET Environment class with VerifyVersionInfo().

Could you please list the full details of your operating system.
Is it W8 or W8 Pro?
Upgrade or clean install?
W8.1?
OEM?
MSDN?
Some special version?
Is it genuine or pirated?

I don't know if this is normal for W8 or only happens on your PC. Anybody else running W8: could you please post your TV service logs.

I don't run tvserver on Win 8, but it's normal for MP client to log 'compatibility mode' on win8

I just ran MySQL Workbench and had a look at some tables. Is 'recording' the record of the recorded films? I see a lot of duplicates here with some seconds differences for start time and totally weird end time

'Wissen macht Ah!' runs from 19:25-19:50. I have 3min before and 7min after program starts/ends. The first is too long, should stop at 19:57, but actually stopped at 20:12. The second ends after 2min. Another not recognized endless recording was the second 'Wer wird Millionär?' which went from Monday evening to Wednesday noon and it was also recorded twice, on correctly 20:15-21:15 with offsets 20:12-21:22.
