I have no idea what happened, but MediaPortal crashed. Then Windows popped up with a message that there was no disc space left on my computer. I ran the disk clean up, and deleted some old recordings. When I fired MP up again, and selected "watch tv" it gave me a screen that asked me to specify the IP address or host name of the TV Server???

It says the computers name for the "current settings".

I dont understand what happened? What can I do now?

If i go into TV Server config, under channels, and click "preview" nothing happens at all. No error messages, no preview. I even let it sit for 4 minutes to see if something would happen.

edit: I also went in and restarted the TV Service, and restarted the computer. I still have the same issue.

when I select a channel, and click preview, the STB gets blasted to the channel, the preview window pops up, and nothing happens. There is just a white box. The kid must have been playing around behind the TV cause the cables were not connected. I connected them, and am able to "preview" in the TV Server Config. However, I still get the same message when trying to watch tv within MP.

Fire up MediaPortal
Select Watch TV
See a black screen for a few seconds

and now instead of it taking me to the TV screen, it shows me a Setup page asking me to input the name of the TV Server?

so there is something corrupt with the database, and I am assuming it is because I deleted things. Problem is I emptied the recycle bin so I cannot restore. Is there a way to manually edit the database?

I have the MpTvDb file open in Visual Studio. Looking at the errors in the log file, they all seem to be queries on tables I do not see. Is this not the correct database to be looking at?
