TV Server Plugin: TvWishList (7 Viewers)

hey, first this is a really nice plugin, as far as you stay in easy mode... but is there anywhere an Explanation of all the expert options...?

... after doing more the 1 h of trial & error i did not find a way to record a show only on a specific weekday (e.g. only on monday)... can someone give me a hint to asume this, i know it is possible but how?

...i am a bit frustrated, sorry the expert options are not as self-explainatory as they should be...

There is a pdf within the installation file which explains all very nice. If I remember right it is stored within the plugin directory.

big thanks @megahorst ...really missed this one... perhaps it would be a good idea to put a link to this user guide somewhere on the first page in the forum (like this:TvWishList USER GUIDE) or even on the first plugin screen...

but now after reading the manual, i have one strange thing... it seems like the "after day" and "before day" are not doing what they should...

i have a show which airs on thursday and on friday, i only want to record it on thursday, i have set

"after day": Thursday
"before day": Friday

and the strange thing is, that i get both airings scheduled, but i think with this setting, only the airing on thursday should get recorded?

The day in "after day" and "before day" are included.

So get get only the airing from Thursday you have set both to Thursday.

I am a user trying for the first time tvwishlist.

My requirement is to have always available the last recording of a TV news, and the last one.

I have read the entire manual but I could not find an answer to my question: what setting should I use the plugin to have saved only the last recording and not all those transmitted during the day?

Error message: "TVWishlist version of client does not matchTVWishlist version of server."
I am sure that I installed the latest version (1.3.0.12) on both client and server.
I have even uninstalled both and reinstalled them. Still no luck.
BTW: after displaying this error message, I can also see some message about a missing xml-file flashing up for a short time.
MP/TVWishlist then enters an endless loop, continuously repeating the error message after every key I press. There is no escaping to the main MP menu.
...help?

You are using MP 1.5.0. TVWishList is expecting to see 1.4 (and below). I guess that we need to wait for the programmer to provide a new version that considers MP 1.5.0.

There are no changes for plugins needed from MP 1.4 to MP 1.5.

Did some experimenting and found out that there was still an old version of the tvwishlist.dll on the tv server. It seems that the extension installer could not copy the new tvwishlist.dll to the plugin program folder.
I downloaded the TvWishList.V.1.3.0.12.Release.zip and manually ran the installer (using administrator priviliges) after stopping the tv server service.
I also found the Titan skin files somewhere on the forum and now everything is OK.
BTW: it is very hard to find something in the 100+ pages in this thread. Is it not about time for a few specialized TVWishlist subforums (fora?)?

There are no changes for plugins needed from MP 1.4 to MP 1.5.

I don't doubt that MP 1.5 does not call for any change. However, I am experiencing exactly the same error! It may also depend on how the plugin programmer is testing the underlying MP version.

I had updated to 1.5.0 after having stopped the TV Service. Also updated to latest TVWishList version, and then receiving error message. Things worked before the update though, so it appears to be linked to the plugin.

I do agree to willemx's comment that the whole Titan skin topic with having to manually search for skin updates, etc., is real cumbersome.
