Regarding this problem: I´m running 1.5 pre as well, and TVWishlist installed and works perfectly (on singleseat!) ;)
    Guys,

I don't doubt that it is running on your systems. All that I am saying is that starting from a fully functional 1.4 installation I upgraded to 1.5 prerelease. Now TVWishList is still running, at last I can see scheduled recordings, but under the Titan skin I am getting an error message when selecting TVWishList in the Menu, stating that this MP version is not supported.

I really don't know what I could have done differently.

I found the origin of the problem: the update from version 10 to 12 didnt install the tvserver part because the TVServer couldn't be stopped by the installer. Stopping the server and reinstalling with the MPEInstaller solved all issues

That's why we suggested that in the News section ;)

What does this have to do with updating a plugin? The news refer to updating from 1.4 to 1.5 and indeed I always stop the server before updating MP.

I am using MP since many years, however, it has recently become a real challenge to keep your system running as more and more plugins require manual tweaking. An average user will have difficulties to achieve this.

    Thx, HTPC_Sourcer

You are right, but since upgrading the TvWishList Server plugin also needs the TvService to be stopped, it might be wise to do that manually also (especially when you know you had an issue with it).

Excellent! I certainly do appreciate the effort.

On a separate topic: is there a possibility to instruct TVWishList to only record HD shows without setting up an individual TV channel group? The latter would be visible in the mini-guide, which i would like to avoid.
