I need the users´s feedback on what to do when the EPG start/end time changes

The way I use TVwishList is to set up the program to record/schedule on a channel or channel group, sometimes including a season number. After that I forget about it and don't want to be bothered with emails/reminders. If I'm looking for something to watch I just check whats been recently recorded.

If I want to see whats comming up I go to MP's scheduled recordings or have a look at TVwishLists scheduled view.

What I want is TVwishList to handle the start/end time changes and information changes silently and rearrange the recordings.

Yes, that would explain why some of the changes work and others don't. I will let you know if any problems.

I would go for B, but add in that it should only care if it is within 7 days. There seem to be many time changes >7 days in epg data.

Generally speaking, i think the messaging is too much, so would go with less rather than more. The only thing that I care about as a user is missing a program. All of the messaging by definition can only tell me about what IS recording, not what ISN'T. Therefore fewer messages about changes are better.

Next on the list is to get the 'replace with HD group' checkbox working :)

    @ huha

In your settings you did choose episode criteria "none" and skip repeated episodes "true", so one identical recorded title will prevent the scheduling of another
episode. If you change to the default setting for episode criteria = "descr. +name+number" it will check for the correct episode, but specifying none will skip
    everything with the same title.
I must set skip repeated episodes "false" right ?

In fact, given that blank epg data now creates a 'false' schedule I would prefer to see all emails limited to time <7 days

Yes. Then all instances of that title will be recorded, with no checks for duplicates. If it is on a channel with a '+1' on another channel an hour later you can choose only one channel to record from.

Sorry for the separate replies but i also thought of something else. Lately I have also had some programs come into the epg in a non-preferred group, and then later on the data appears for a preferred group. The non-preferred group is scheduled, and then when the epg data is filled in for the preferred group it does not replace the schedule with the preferred group.
Would you expect the schedule to be replaced if the first one has not already been recorded?

foxbenw, yes it should replace the schedule later on with the one in the preferred group. Please try with the latest test version. It should also work if EPG data are changing. Please provide a log if you see something suspicious.

With respect to the options i think i will go with B), as it enables both silent and verbose emails:
Assuming the user has checked only "email" in the filter criteria of the format tabs, then
    - a silent use of TvWishlist can be done by chosing action=record. In that case there will be no email if some data do change
    - an email will be sent if the user is choosing action= email or both in case of time changes
    - if the user wants all the conflict information in the mail, then the "conflict" setting must be selected in in the filter criteria of the format tab

    Hi,
    This is for ver. 1.2.2.3

Was going crazy here cause i couldn't get the plugin to work on my client computers.
Keep poping up telling me : TvWishList MediaPortal Plugin Does Not Match To TvWishList TV Server Plugin
on my client computers, even though i had set the network path during installation to my "server"

Read the PDF that came with the installation, and on the clients when you go into Mediaportal configuration, open the settings for the plugin, you don't have the option to tell the path to the TV server.

The text is there, but no file browser possible

And here is how it looks in ver. 1.2.2.0

    browse.png

I ofc. set the correct paths durring installation as well, but it just doesn't work in ver. 1.2.2.3

I now have installed ver. 1.2.2.0 on all clients, and just changed the ver. info in the text file on the server, and so far it is working.
Even though it probably isn't wise to use different versions on clients and server, but i don't see any other fix.

I have the same issue on a Win7 based network client and huha is aware of this and will have a solution in a future update.

I'm using version 1.2.2.1 for the moment.
