Meanwhile I deleted the entry mentioned in the error message. After this the test was working fine.
Then I entered 4 new films. After saving and closing the configurator only one of those 4 was left.
The test failed again.
Does the tool have a limit on the number of entries?

HungrigerHugo, I understand and will change this in one of the next versions.

easywatcher, it looks like you have discovered a bug. Thanks to your log file i should be able to reproduce. I was not aware of a limit, but have not used such a large number before. I will do further testing here.

Update:
Can you try to add 4 more movies as you did before and send me the log file again?

I adde 4 more and pressed the test button right after it. Without saving. TV.log enclosed.

Easywatcher, thanks a lot for posting. This gives me enough details for trying to reproduce. i realized that the failing count is not constant. In your last log the error occured after 38 entries, in this log after 40. I will look further into that.

Update: It looks as there is a 4096 character limit for storing string settings in the Tv Server database using
setting = layer.GetSetting("TvWishList_ListView", "");
This hit me by complete surprise. I will need to rewrite part of the code to split strings exceedign 4096 characters

A known bug is a good bug.
Actually you need to hurry up. Christmas is coming and I need to record tons of christmas films for the kids. Which would enabling me stop them watch the other TV rubbish at time I cannot stop them watching at all.

• fixed bug which restricted the number of Tv wish list entries to about 30 to 40 (Thanks a lot to easywatcher for posting the logs).
• moved global setting "skip repeated episodes" to the main page to make it accessible for every Tv wish list entry

The bug described by easywatcher sould be gone. I have not tested the maximum number, but it should allow now more than 1000 wishes.

I realized i cannot access my project on
http://code.google.com/p/huha-mediaportal-plugins/
So the installation via MPEI2 installer is temporarily not working. I have contacted Google on this issue.

Update:
Just learned about the new Plugin page in MediaPortal. It´s fantastic and makes it very easy to publish the plugin. I submitted the .mpei file and it should be available soon.

I've just tried your plugin. It's a great one and seems to works fine.
I've got just one improvement suggestion :

(It probably already said but I didn't read all the thread)

It would be more easy if the plugin retrieved automatically the channel list to fill the filter selection box "channel". Perhaps it should only display the channels into the selected "channel group"?
