TV Server Plugin: TvWishList (5 Viewers)

I have been playing a bit with this now.
In my case the EPG provided contains a keyword like Chicago, searching for that I get lots of stuff.
Chicago hope, description containing Chicago just cuz something is live from there or whatever.
So grouping sports channels and only searching them solves part of the problem. But Chicago have lots of stuff like NBA, NFL, NCAA, MLB and other stuff.
If the EPG people could have written out Blackhawks I could have searched for that but they dont so I need to search for Chicago AND NHL for this to be useful to me.

For TvWishList to be really useful to me I need the ability to search for something AND something.
I hope future versions of this great plugin can provide this functionality

The title and description are not case sensitive, so both should work. however, channel names are case sensitive as there can be different channels based on case sensitivity

4Fred, I may find a simple addition i will look into it.

4Fred, please try the latest test version and use Chicago&&NHL for partial text
Please note you can only use one AND (&&) and both AND strings must be in the title or both AND strings must be in the description. You cannot have one string in the title and the second string of the AND condition in the description.

But there is not yet. I see them in the EPG but in timer they are not listed !!! Why does he say already recorded ? I've just already recorded a few Upps on the HDD but that should not interfere so !!

hi,

i'm thinking about installing this plugin because i don't wanna install 4therecord. infact my mp finally runs as it should and i don't wanna risk anything by installing another app that's using the tvserver

but what i really need is something like wildcards. one example: i wanna record every csi episode nomatter if it's miami, ny or the original one. just to make it more complicated in my epg the spelling of csi differs. for instance: "csi - den tätern auf der spur", "c.s.i. - miami", "c s i - ny", "c.s.i - new york" and so on.
for that it would need something like search for C "nothing or ." S "nothing or ." I "nothing or ." - anything. i know that's a big challenge

another question is if i can use the normal mysql wildcards in the query? i mean what exactly would your plugin do with a "c%s%i - %" ? and what would happen if i entered something like
csi - %' OR 'c s i - %' OR 'c.s.i - %'

i mean does it take it all including the quotes so that the mysql syntax should look something like
SELECT * FROM DB WHERE xy = 'csi - %' OR 'c s i - %' OR 'c.s.i - %'

or are the ' and % a problem?

it will not work currently, as i am not doing a direct sql query, but plan to do so in the future.
I just got my first SQL query to work, but it will take some more time. This will also increase processing speed. I found a great piece of code in the Tvbusinesslayer, which i can use with small modifications.
