TV server quality (2 Viewers)

hi,

I want to ask about tv server quality increase. I have MP 12.2 installed on a SBS 2011 with an i5 2400. Codex is latest Mainconcept and ATI Audio.
When I steam TV i get increasing artifacts in the picture and sound begings to shutter. This end in a tv server loss.
When i use other programms beside MP this issue happens even faster.

Well you have alot of discontinuitys in your log. That could mean a bad signal quality. Have you checked your cable connections and tested another TV cable?

Please tell us more about your system by using the systeminfo tool in your profile. A full set of logs would also help to identify the problem.
You can let MP generate a full set of logs by starting MP in debug mode, tune some channels and close mp after that:

While doing that you could also open the TV server configuration -> manual control -> select a channel and -> start timeshift

Are there discontinuitys? How is the signal strength and quality?

BTW: What about the CPU load during Live TV (HD and SD)0-100%?

1.) Signal is 100% Quality and Streanth
2.) Log see -> Atachment
3.) I have a lot artifachts. In timeshift aswell
4.) I am using analog TV with software encode (lastest Mainconcept Pro encoder, ATI Audio encoder)
along with artifacts there come audio shuttering and often sync/Server Lost issues.
5.) Server/Client has around 5% CPU usage.

I hope i have awnsered all Questions. Hoping on solveing the issue.

1.) Signal is 100% Quality and Streanth

Unfortunately these numbers do not mean anything. Different cards report the strength in different ways. Many cards report 0% for perfect signal!

Check CPU usage. Software encoders require a lot of CPU power.

Edit: I didn't notice this:

Are you sure about that on Server? seems too low for software encoder on i5 2400.

Tv Card is Haupauge HVR 3300. And I know it worsk well on a singel seat.

I guess it is hardware acrelated. BTW CPU is nearly Idel.
Main Problem is the connection loss to the server and sometime The server dont get information from the client.
Are there any known issue with routers? Which is cable server <---> Router <-- wirless--> Client tear. Wireless is nearly 150 Mbit/s.

What brand of router do you have?

I had a linksys one for a while, and could not get MP stable with it. Replaced it with a netgear and not had a problem since.

Even though you may not notice it in regular (i.e. non-streaming) applications, wireless links often have transient packet losses and retransmitions. These are very short to notice but are enough to cause stuttering in TV which streams data. Media streaming depends on low jitter which wireless link rarely can provide.

Try a wired link to see if it makes any difference.
