Hi,

I've recentely upgraded my setup with 2 DVB-S tuners(not had tv tuners before). The plan was to run it on my W2k3 AD, I know its not officially supported but I read alot of people which have had success.

The problem I'm having is that the server seems to start up fine, but the tuners are not listed. I'm running MySQL.
I've tried a fresh install and patching everything accordingly but with no luck. Are some of the WMP11 hotfixes required for Tvserver to run properly?

I've attached my logs in hope that someone can give me a clue what can be the problem. Hope someone can help!

Did some more playing around. I tried to switch to MS SQL, same issue. But I think the issue is caused by the detection of cards. Now if I disable both cards, Tvserver GUI is loaded instantly. But if I enable one of the tuners, it takes a long time. Also a thing to note, if any of the tuners are enabled the "radiowebstream adapter" is detected as "unknown", if I disable the tuners and restart service, its orginal name is back.

I tried playing around with the delay settings. If I delay it more than 10sec I get a error message. I tried to update the 1394B drivers. Would also like to mention I'm running the lastest firmware on the Floppy's.

attached new logs...

W2k3 is not on the supported list of OSes. And there is a good reason for it (if I remember correcty it is missing lot of required BDA related functionality).

If you search the forums you should be able to find a thread where are the instructions how to add the needed functionality to w2k3, but remember that it is not a supported OS so you will be on your own with it :)
