I'd settle for instructions on how to just get the copy freely channels working at this point

With standard MP and a HDHR Prime you'll only get clear QAM local channels. Install the patch here and you should get copy-freely (including clear QAM) channels. Make sure to read and follow the instructions in the first post of that thread carefully.

My frustration is that the setup hits a brick wall as there are no US settings in the drop down yet Silicon Dust claim MP compatibility.

CableCARD support in MP is not official, so Silicondust couldn't possibly claim it works.

I'm just surprised no one has found some way for this to work.

Many of the team members have said that most of the MP developers are based in Europe. I guess there are not enough folks from our part of the world with enough time or knowledge.
