Must admit i cheat on things like delayed start, as use winpatrols delayed start feature for this.

A great little program i have used for many years, if you really like to know whats active on your pc.

Now this has become a must have item with TVServer, if you like the way that mce informs you of a recording in progress, then you will love this.

Should now be integrated into TVServer, in my humble opinion.

Aaron, I had crashes with your previous version, but your last version runs perfect for me. Not a single crash since i downloaded about 3 weeks ago. Thanks alot for this work, I do not want to miss it anymore.
If you can find some time i would also appreciate the delayed startup timer like JoeSmith described. I did also write a batch file for it.

today i noticed, that i was recording something and the icon was yellow
Conclusion : i was recording and grabbing epg at the same time
would be nice if you could change that to a red icon

i still get some ocassional crashes, is there any way of finding out why it crashes? also it seems that if server is down (X icon) and then you turn it on, the icon does not update. when i say icon its the tv server status icon running on a client.

and-81 in what language is tv server icon written? i know a bit of visual basic and have recently learned some parallel port control over it. i would like to make tv server icon activate pins depending on the status (rec, epg grab, timeshift....)

btw, is tv server status opensource? i mean, can i get the code to try and add some functionalities and then share if the outcome is good?

This is a great tool, but it has not too much features. GB-PVR has a tray icon to look at. I miss e.g. the possibility to restert the TV Server, or better to restart it automatically, when crashed.

One suggestion, because some people asked about the status color: Maybe it would be better to have something like traffic lights - three horizontal stripes (yellow, green and red), so you cann see, when server is e.g. timeshifting and recording at the same time.

It can blink or illuminate LEDs if a card is active. This is a needed feature for me since the TV server is installed on my HTPC machine and I don't always use MP so there have been times when I have shutdown the machine in the middle of a recording. Being a HTPC my taskbar is programmed to hide all the time so an icon in the taskbar is no good for me.

i did manage to make leds work using parallel port. im not a good programmer but it definately works as it has been working for a couple of weeks now. ill upload the mod this afternoon.
