MediaPortal Version: latest

hi,
I'm using my pc as a media portal's tv server and everything works fine for the first 10 minutes. then the tv picture stops for like 30 secs and starts again, only that it stops now every minute and it's impossible to watch like that.
I use a w-lan router (g standard, 54 mbit) and the client is a laptop with a centrino 1,6 ghz and 1 gb ram.
the same problem occurs when i start timeshift and capture the stream on the client with vlc.
any ideas, please?

Thx a lot in advance!

For testing purposes try and use a cable connection between your router and your laptop.

Now, does the problem persist ?

I'm experiencing the same problem. I have a Gb LAN. FloppyDTV in TVserver. Single seat config. So Mediaportal and TV server on the same machine.

when i connect the laptop via cable to my router (netgear wgr614 v7), the problem does not occur. can it be connected to the type of encryption i use (WEP shared key)?
when i monitor the network traffic, it's clear that the problem is not caused by too much traffic, only like 8mbit are used.
    thanks in advance!

ok, i disabled encryption totally and the problem persists.
do i have to configure anything on my router? i don't want to believe that it's not possible to stream with a wlan g standard router...
