Tv-Service always stops working after 10 min (1 Viewer)

Have a very annoying problem with TV-Server 1.0RC3:

I´m using MPstandbyHandler to take care of the issue where tvservice.exe don´t work after Hibernation and sleep.
So when I go from Hibernation, a reboot or something TV-server works nicely and I can watch TV, timeshift, record and everything.
But almost exactly 10 minutes afterwards the TV-picture freezes and when I try to change channel or turning TV off and on again I get this error-message: Unable to start timeshifting, No video/audio detected.
If I now go into TV-server Setup and manually Stops and then Starts service again (Or restart TV Service in Windows Services), then I can watch TV for another 10minutes and then it stops working again.

It doesn´t seem like the Tv-Service crasches or anything because I have made the setting in Services that if an error occurs in tvservice.exe the service should automatically restart but it never does.

Hope someone got a sollution for me...

i've seen similar posts like this and they are related to timeshifting.
try turnign the timeshifting off, or massivly decrease the amount of timeshifting and see if that makes a difference.

I´d like to try turning the timeshift off but as I understand you can´t do that in TVE3.
I´ve tried to use the TVE2 but I never could get it to recognize my card.

I´we tried to change my timeshift-folder to another drive: no difference
I´we tried to change timeshift-filesize to 20mbyte/file: no difference
I´we tried to change timeshift-filesize to 300mbyte/file: no difference

Every option here above leads to a total of pretty much exactly 10min of TV and then it dies on me.
And it´s 10 min from when I turn TV on and not resetting the TV-service or anything.

Is there any other options that I´we missed to try in the TV-server config?

Have you anything that may kick in after 10 minutes ie screensaver\Windows power settings

Is there anything network wise that may also kick in with this 10 mins.

Also just to confirm, from a clean boot, none of this happens, only once resumed from standby.

Screensaver is disabled (set to 10mins but tried to change that now to 40min, just to try), nothing in energy-settings, all on and turn off screen set to 60min.

Can´t think off anything network wise that would trigg this, have you any ideas are the more then welcome

It´s a clean Windows XP install with nothing ordinary that I can think off, so haven´t changed any major Windows-settings or anything.

This always happens, no matter if its a clean rebbot or a return from hibernation or standby.


Edit: The test with changing screensaver time where out of luck, still 10 min then down.

So that gets rid of it being any standby problem if it occurs on a clean boot, this is only because we need to be sure of all facts.

You are running a analogue card, so there should be no epg grabbing enabled in TVServer config, besides possibly the xmltv plugin if used.

Having to think about this one, by the way is this running as a user or administrative account.

Yepp, has nothing to do with standby.

I have disabled all EPG-grabbings and only running the xmltv-plugin, thats right.

When I installed Win XP it creates only one account and thats the one I´m using.
So it´s running on a administrative account.

Do you have evey logs you need or have I missed to post something ?

Have you got both the TVServer Powerscheduler and the Mediaportal powerscheduler client plugins enabled correctly.

There are showing powerevents happening at 10 minute intervals in logs, and you are shown restarting TVService after these.

Hmm...

I had the Powerschedule-plugin enabled in TV-server but not in MP.
Tried to enable Powerschedule client plugin in MP now and see if it makes a difference.
Have enabled "Extensive logging" in both MP-plugin and server-plugin.

Althoug I have only the plugin enabled but no options in plugin enabled that would affect the shutdown (I think)

Well the easiest way of checking this, is without MP running, open TVServer config\channels and preview one, should now show Video indefinately, also confirms if it has anything or nothing to do with mediaportal.exe or its plugins
