    Hi All,

It has happened a few times now, that my TV Server seems to crash and the service is stopped. PC does not wake up for recordings. Usually it works, buit every now and then it fails. I grabbed all logs just now, could you plese check what you can make out of it? I see some minidisplay errors, but I doubt that they are the cause. Any ideas?

    Hi mbuzina

I think it is being triggered by an unhandled exception being thrown from the SubmitTuneRequest() function, although I struggle to see why that might happen. Are you using MisterD's network provider?

Hi mm, no change to the network provider, everything is original (except the MiniDisplay, I use a patched version from the forum to support the iMon API).

    Okay

If you can wait a few hours (I'm still at work :() then I will provide a debug DLL for you to use. Hopefully it will tell us exactly what is causing the crash...

    Hi again

Try this DLL. Just stop TV Server and take a backup of the existing DLL before you install this one. If you're able to reproduce the problem then all I need is the TV Server logs. My internet cap is not infinite - I can't afford to download 16 MB of logs! ;)

Ok, thanks. I will install & report back. Luckily no cap here, i will try to keep the log small.

    Hi mm,

Somehow your debug dll seems to be fixing the problem! It is either that or me disabling the iPiMP transcoding of recordings. Since I installed the debug dll I have not had a tv service crash yet.

    Hi mbuzina

I would guess iPiMP before I guessed that the debug DLL was helping. Obviously you can prove this by reverting to the original DLL...

Me too. Thanks for your help on this. Since I had no further issues and I do not need the transcoded files (on the fly works great), I am happy.

    Big thanks!
