I was running the near latest version 1 Mediaportal without issues on the same box. I did a full uninstall and installed 2.2.1. I had issues launching the TV config. I re-installed again and it seemed fine. Now after a period of time the tv service becomes unavailable and I cannot launch the tv config app again. The processes are running and do not seem hung as I can restart them and all works again for a while. The attached logs were generated as the issue was occurring.

Specs:
64 bit Win 7 Pro
AMD Athalon II X4 630 Proc 2.8 GHz
4 GB Ram

Multiple HDD

In my latest case it appears the Mediaportal service actually crashed. Restarted it and it is ok again.

It appears the crash of the service coincides with the share refresh. i change the refresh time and the crash time changed with it.

MPExtended is required for MPTVscheduler and previous to that ampdroid. Both are Andriod based streaming apps. On a side issue, I am able to get MPTVscheduler to connect to the server but streaming crashes.

I can't say anything about your additional applications as these are not officially supported. It looks like your problems are connected to their use.

I think I have similar problem, seems like after PC wake up from sleep.

I have to reboot it to get TV service back but I couldn't find the MP Service in Windows Services to restart it. In MP1 the service name it TV Service but MP2 is difference?

In MP2 TV Server is running as a plugin. The only Windows service is the “MP2 Server Service”. Instead rebooting you can restart this service.

The issue could be related to initialization troubles of your TV card. There is a setting in TV Config to delay the startup. Might be worth a try.
