Tv service reboot/stanby issue (1 Viewer)

Firstly, I apologize for these newbie questions. I tried to read through the Wiki and forums, but did not find an answer. If somebody found time to answer, I would be more than happy :)

I installed V1.0.0.0 RC1 recently together with the SQL (Microsoft).

1. After a startup SQLexpress won’t start automatically, although it tells that is does that. After manually restarting it, everything works fine in MP.

2. MP does not resume from S3 to record scheduled programs. I have configured the power scheduler in tv-server and the client plug-in in the (single seat) client. NB. I had to disable USB-resume because enabling it woke up the machine instantly. This is an old problem (power surge on hub port etc..).

3. After manually resuming from S3, the SQLexpress and browser are running but sometimes in the client MP “the host cannot be found” or it “cannot start timeshift”. Restarting both SQLexpress and browser and thereafter tv-service (by double clicking tv-server configuration) resolves this.

Any suggestions? I use also DVB-viewer, which resumes from S3 and records scheduled programs just fine.
I will be more than happy to post log if you can specify what you need.
:D

S3 resolved, reboot not

REBOOT

command line prompt: services.msc
Changed SQL server (SQLEXPRESS) -> recovery all failures: restart the service (reset counter 1 days, restart service 0 minutes)

After reboot starting MP (see the log files below) -> no TV
SQL server configuration manager shows that the SQL server (SQLEXPRESS) is stopped, although the start mode is set to AUTOMATIC
-> start service
-> MP TV ok (sometimes no picture -> restarting MP resoves this <- codec-related?)

PROBLEM: HOW COULD THE SERVICE BE STARTED AFTER A REBOOT?

STANDBY (S3) -> PROBLEM RESOLVED (no idea how..)

putting the computer to S3 (manually) -> resume (manually)
SQL server configuration manager shows that everything is ok. replicated this for 2 times.

SCHEDULED RECORDING (RESUME FROM S3)

again to S3 (manually) to resume for a recording
-> resumed as expected.
-> again everything ok (TV-server running and started recording after the manual resume).

BTW the mouse cursor is visible all the time (in full screen). How can I turn this feature off?

    There seems to be a problem with your network. Both SQL server and the server browser depend on the network stack which seems to be down when your computer starts. TV server is dependent on the database and fails as a consequence.

    Error 10013 (0x271D) is a winsock related error, SQL server is unable to bind to a port. Could be a firewall issue, or another program using that port, or the network is simply down. My advice to you is to check your network configuration and hardware, and try disabling the firewall in case it is up.

    Cheers,

    No luck with firewall changes

    Hello again,
    First I allowed MediaPortal.exe and TvService.exe all "application" and "port" rights in F-secure firewall. No luck. Then I disabled the firewall. No luck. Please, see the attachments.

    could you perhaps specify

    Hello again,

    Sorry for this stupid question,:oops: but what would you recommend that I check in my network? I have two LAN-adapters which are not used/connected and the one WLAN adapter that I use.
