I would love to - but I'm even having a problem with this. I have taken a copy of the .ts file onto another machine.

First, I tried TSCutter (latest version, H264cutter). First time this told me that it cannot find an IDR frame and wouldn't process the file (produces another hard crash). Now, it simply crashes as soon as I try to load the .ts file.

Second, I tried HDTVtoMPEG2. This won't process the file either - it just tells me it cannot find a channel.

Any suggestions for more file cutters? I assume that you want a trial of an edited (cut) file here first, otherwise I could start an upload to your FTP site and stop it after 100mb.

you can use HJSplit - Download then ask to split in 100Mb files and try with one of those to reproduce. Once you are successfull please update the same ts file to our ftp.

Thanks. HJSplit worked fine. I split off the first 100 Mbytes and put that file back on my HTPC. I renamed the original and put the cut file in with the original name so the .xml file is still OK. I then used TV/Recorded TV to select that show and reproduced the problem.

The file is now on your FTP server with the name Saturday Kitchen Live.ts. It's a BBC SD programme.

Issue reproduced, MediaInfo is not even called

Will look into it next week.

please answer to 1st question as well

    Simone

I cannot download the file from the FTP server - "NZ_TVNZ_538000_T_TV2_FTA.ts: No such file or directory" - so I cannot get you logs of that file. You DO have logs of me trying to play the full 33Gb version of this file, so not sure what else I can do for you.

Glad to hear you've reproduced elsewhere. This is driving me (and especially the Mrs) nuts.

I cannot reproduce the issue with that TS file. This is why I asked you to reproduce. Some posts before this one you can find a link for HJsplit download. Please split your file with it and reproduce the issue with a 100Mb file. Then upload it again so the chances I can reproduce as well are quite high.

Ok. Reproduced with the first 100Mb of this morning's recording. Here's the logs. Will upload the .ts file shortly.

Please confirm removing the word "live" from the TS file name solve the issue.
