Running MP 1.4.0 for a couple of months with my DigitalDevices Octopus with 2x DVB-S2 tuners and 2x DVB-T tuners.

All worked well with my server machine running both MP client & server and a few clients on different machines.

Earlier this week, TV just stopped working. Blank screens whenever I try to watch a channel via MP UI (Titan) or in the TV Server config. tool. However, Config will still tune the available channels (signal reported as good) and EPG data sourced from the channels appears to be updated in the UI so I don't think I have any issues with my signals or tuner card.

I changed nothing - no config changes, no updates. The computer didn't even restart. TV just stopped working.

So far I've tried restarting the machine, re-seating the PCIe card, retuning etc, but no joy.

I've attached TVServer and MediaPortal Log files (hope I got them all, there's no Debug Mode version of MP in my program folder ?)

help appreciated.

petrer[DOUBLEPOST=1380142959][/DOUBLEPOST]And I've figured out that the Media Portal Debug Mode app referenced in the Wiki no longer exists but now seems to be renamed WatchDog. Here's the files it gathered for me....

Peter, from the looks of the TsWriter log files - specifically all the continuity errors in there - I'd say either your timeshift HDD is almost full or you have a real-time scanner application such as MS Security Essentials scanning the MP and TV Server program, timeshift and record folders.

Did you install a new security program recently? If so, that is where I'd start looking.

Many thanks for your prompt response.

It's not drive space as I'm using a completely free 250Gb drive for time shift.

However, your suggestion on security led me to disable Windows Defender and magically, TV started working again. As noted, I hadn't installed anything new on this machine so Defender must have had a sneaky update while I wasn't looking.

Hopefully this helps someone else sometime.
