[solved] tv tuner Stopped getting signal (1 Viewer)

    Here is the log files, but i have the same problem as in post #3

    There's far too many assumptions happening here for my liking. Nothing is proven yet. Time and time again I've seen people insist they have the same problem, and when all was said and done, the symptoms were the same but the cause was different.

    sorry not assuming anything here, just trying to get my wife off my back. Here are my watch dog files, unfortunately I cant retune the channels into my mediaportal install after uninstalling it. so hopefully this will help..

    Sorry i remapped the channels via a backup i took

    I can see that the tuner driver was installed here:

    Would I be right to guess that you installed/reinstalled the tuner driver at that date/time to try to resolve the problem?
    If my guess is correct, Windows installed a few updates within the 24 hours leading up to that:

    I note you said:

    From the log files it appears you (wogboy112) have a Hauppauge quadHD card whereas pwh123 has a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2205 card. Did you get confused, or...?

    no confusion, i went out and bought a new card thinking it was the card that had died.. installed it on the 1st May

    Right now it looks like you only have a quadHD connected to your system.

    The quad driver was first installed at 5:13:30 PM on 1 May... then installed again at 6:37:27 PM on 1 May.

    If the problem started immediately prior to that, the cause was not a Windows update. The most recent updates prior to 5:13 PM on 1 May were installed on 28 April:

    These look harmless enough to me.

    Perhaps rather than me trying to guess it would be better if both of you could tell me the date and time when you first noticed there was a problem. You may not know the exact time; approximate is fine, but the more accurate the better.

    well my last recording was on the 29th at 12:30 and that appears to be fine, so from memory I noticed it on Sunday the 30th

    My last recording was on the 29th at 17:20, as i remeber later that day it stoppet working complitly.

    Before that i experienced a dropout 1 or 2 times the week before, but a reboot solved that.
