I was wondering when/if support for newer Hauppauge (specifically, the 2250) will come to MediaPortal? Thanks!

As both analogue tuners have hardware encoding, these should be supported due to the design og TVServer.
Furthermore, TVServer supports any DVB and ATSC cards w/BDA drivers, so these should work as well.

So my guess is that it is already supported :)
(Sometimes hybridcards can be a bit PITA, though, and this has 2 tuners + 2 receivers, so ...)

hmmm - Media Portal didn't seem to pick up the tuner when I ran the setup. Neither did it detect the Hauppauge WinTV 1800 tuner I had installed... They weren't listed on the support page, so I do I need to do something besides running the ordinary setup to get them detected? Thanks :D

sorry for the long lapse... I don't think I'm using tv server. I just downloaded the regular MediaPortal file called "MediaPortal1.0_Setup.exe". When I click add tuner in the config menu, it tells me that no supported tuners are installed

    TVServer supports more cards.

I thought that TVServer that just a plugin that allows for streaming to remote computers. Apparently, that's not the case.

How do I get TVServer? The download link for it seems to link back to MediaPortal 1.0. And once I get it, how do I use TVServer?

I've no idea if this is possible or in the works but I am wondering if the IPTV part of TVServer could be upgraded to support M3U8, HTTPS, HLS or whatever is needed for newer IPTV connections?

Well, the log doesn't show any problems. I can see correctly tuned channels in the log. It seems to me that the tuner works fine. Can you copy the created ts file(located in your timeshift folder) somewhere else while in channel preview and try to play it in VLC or MPC-HC? PS: You can also try to make short record
