Hello all.

I'm trying out TVE3 for several weeks and i must say, i'm pretty frustrated. The main problem i have is the crashing of the TVService. The client-tryouts weren't that promising, too. But this is about the server-crashes.

- First, it often crashes while scanning for channels. Sometimes earlier, somtimes later. This behaviour is regularly but not reproducible.

- Then, it crashes even in "idle" mode, when no configuration-actions are done.

- With built from today (had some breake the last days) i also get a "sidebyside"-Error in EventLog, yet this seems not to cause TVServer to crash.

TVServer Logs and Event Logs of the last virgin-installed crash are attached.

Please, i'd like to help fix this, perhapse other users have the same problem. Just tell me, what i got to do or what information further you need to analyze this.
VNC-connection, ICQ or MSN should also be no problem.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Manny.

I'm having the same problem.
I get numerous SideBySide errors in the System event log, something about Microsoft.VC80.CRT that can't be found and:
Generate Activation Context failed for C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\KNCBDACTRL.dll.
The system then hangs until someone hits the reset button.
While it's in the crashed state it also does something to the network switch it's connected to and it brings the whole network down. However, this might be a hardware/driver related issue of the whole machine crashing.
This happens every couple days and is very unpredictable.
