TVEngine3 issues.. (2 Viewers)

Hey

Just installed TVEngine3 - followed the video turotials (great)

Have MCE dualtuner card - detected fine and can scan for channel in tv server config.
Channels are also working in Mediaportal itself, but for some reason, there is no EPG info for any of the channels - no idea why?

I am using latest mediaportal and lastest svn "MediaPortal-svn--03-10-2007--01-00-Rev13325.exe"

Also, does one need to have "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition" installed on the client machines in order to get the TVserver working on clients (or is it only neccessary on the server machine...)?

what form of broadcast are you receiving ?
have you enabled any epg capturing in the server config ?

you only need SQL installed on the server.

I an recieving analog cable signal.
Hmm no, have not enabled any EPG capturing...
Just used o2grabber (like i did on the old setup) and put the tvguide.xml in server folder and pointed to the file in the server config - is that not "good enough?"


Ahhh seems it helped to enable xmltv plugin in server...now I just have to get the epg channels to macth the ones found by the scan...
