TVGuide slider positioning? (1 Viewer)

Hello all, not sure where to put this. Have a look at the screenshot below, now look at the time (bottom right) and look at where the TVGuide slider is. Should it not be under 11:00 PM, it just looks as if the slider is not running in sync with the system time, or is this just my imagination. By the way I have tried B2 and B2W as well as all of my own skins

Any ideas peeps?

Its correct, if you look at the xface epg, start of 1600 and position within the 1600-1630 area matches time.



and here the 1630-1700 area correct for time.

PD, I would have thought that the slider should be directly under "16:30" in your second screenie, maybe it's just the way I look at the guide

I've also this problem and i also reported this some times to the SVN threads - but the developers told me everytime - there is no such bug - i thought i'm the only one with this issue. I hope this will be solved now.

I don't think this is considered a bug by the devs, but just the way the EPG GUI works. If you look at the Screenshots Paranoid Delusion posted, the EPG timeline has boxes for each interval. The box (and with it the time-interval) starts at 16.30, but the actual text is centered in the box. Therefore, when the slider is positioned on the text, the times is actually 16.45.
I agree that this can be a bit confusing. But it is even more confusing on skins where the Timeline is not Graphically divided into boxes, like Monochrome. The timeline will still be divided this way, but the user can't see the boxes.

Maybe this is possible to change in the skins, or maybe it's hardcoded somehow. Either way I would love to see it changed.

I have noticed this myself. A fix would be great! (I only use Indigo, so not sure about other skins. Can give them a try, though.)

PS: A vertical timeline would also be very nice (draw a thin line from top to button)

The timing is correct, its just the way it is presented, could go MCE way but i still think not right.

The thin vertical timeline sounds like a great idea too. Makes it easy to see how long a program has been running.

As other has said, I would like like in my attached picture (I hope its okay I borrow you picture PD).

The clock is now 13.00 (in the picture, not reallife ). Therefor the indicator is right below the text that says 13.00.


I can't count the times my girlfriend has asked why this is not the way it is. And everytime I have to make up some fairytale as to why we should keep Mediaportal in spite of this. So please, Help me make that easier
