This seems to be a TVE3 problem but there was a similar bug reported in the TVE2 section (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tv_guide_left_screen-t27909.html)

Start tv and go fullscreen
Right click on screen and select tv guide
Right click on a program and select record

The tv guide stays overlayed and it doesn't go away until you:

Go fullscreen again
Right click select tv guide
Right click away from the tvguide.
