Whatever I try, during scanning channels I got no signal.

What I did:
1. installed Windows 7 Ultimate 'out of the box' on my home server (before that it was running WHS and Mediaportal 1.1.0 RC4 without problems with exactly the same hardware setup, but due to smargo problems I decided to give Windows 7 a try)
2. installed all drivers, inculding latest TT drivers
3. installed Dedicated Mediaportal TV-server and MySQL 1.1.0 final.
4. Startup TV-server
5. Disabled Media Centre Services
6. Choose country Netherlands
7. Region/provdider ZIGGO NID 5555
8. New scan --> no channels found (screenshot.jpg)

I tried serveral things but none worked
- repluged PCI tv cards
- reinstall TT-drivers
- reinstalled old TT-drivers
- reinstalled Mediaportal
- reinstalled Windows 7
- switch between MySQL and MSSQL 2005
- run --DebugOptions and checked "always run graph after stop"
- select "dvbc" as provider instead of the "Generic" setting which is the default

I tested both TV-card signals with TT-BDA-DATA just to be sure (screenshot.jpg)

Please find attached my log files --> found something strange "dvb: RunGraph returns: 0x80004002" not sure if this is the problem and how to solve it.

Hope somebody can help me out....

Just a couple of thoughts. You have applications running that are monitoring the cards. Is it possible that these are locking the cards in some way that MediaPortal cannot access them correctly? Do you have Windows Media Center running (or at least its services), also locking the cards?

Try advanced config, and disable all Media Center services (in the 'additional 3rd party checks' section of MP config), then reboot.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

There are no monitoring applications running during Mediaportal (a fresh windows 7 install). After struggeling with my problem for several days I installed TT-BDA today just to make sure I have a signal and take the screenshot in order to post on this forum.

I had already disabled Media Center service in the tab "'additional 3rd party checks". Forgot to mention that in my list of steps, sorry. I manually checked the services and found no problems, please find attached a screenshot.

    Hey,
I have to comment on this Thread because i also use Ziggo in the 5555 area.

Since yesterday morning i was watching TV in Mediaportal when suddenly i had no signal. So i tried to reinstall Windows 7 and Mediaportal. But since then i still had no signal (also in other software).
Can you scan channels in other TV software Farhope? If you can't i almost thinking that Ziggo has changed something!

Have you checked your cables and did a new channel scan to see if the channel hasn't moved?

Yeah, i tried 2 different Cables. And tested my Smartcard in the Standard Ziggo Decoder. And that is working fine.

    Hi All,
I tested with the BDA-data tool in order to monitor the signal strenght, see also my attached screenshot in my first post. The strange thing was that according the external BDA data application there was a signal but according Mediaportal there wasn't.

This morning again I did a fresh install windows 7 with some bios settings changed (e.g. enabled onboard soundcard) and was surprised to found out, after installing mediaportal, that everything was working okay!! (mediaportal was finding channels during scanning) I really don't know what caused my problems, but it is working now so fingeres crossed it will stay that way.

Anyway thanks for the suggestions and help. :D I will now continue to install CCcam with smargo on a linux VMware session in order to have access to my ziggo card, so wish me luck

I know it is a bit late in the day to help you (now that you have fixed it and all that). But I think this may have been because you applied the DBFix too early in your installation process. I just had the same problem where I installed it prior to the .net framwork update (and a few other updates too) and a quick re-fix seems to have solved it (for DVB-T anyway, not checked DVB-S yet).

    - Quick reboot and DVB-S are working too.
