    just as I thought.

the Process method in tvhome was doing a lot of stuff not needed when timeshifting was disabled.

I merely did a check on timeshifting state.
If it wasnt timeshifting then I made sure that no unneeded code was executed.

    Its in sVN.

I have been using this fix continuously since installed and the whole MP GUI experience is much quicker/smoother even the MINIEPG and TVGUIDE are almost instant, both had a delay previously.

Have had no adverse side effects so far.

well SciDoctor, the improved mini guide could have something to do with me optimizing performance on that part :)

I havent touched the tvguide though.

    check the svn log.

Unfortunatly this fix has been broken by the svn 19510 espeacialy with the attached tvplugin.rar in the first post of the thread.

SVN 19484 was fine in this respect,

SVN 19561 and this problem still exists .

2% in all GUI screens but rising to over 30% in MYTV

Playback of recordings or even timeshifting and the same increase occurs.

As above 19484 didn't have this problem.

I just increased the testing method and the results are suprising.

The bug seems to be linked with the number of tuner you have and if they are active.

    1 schedule active 30%

    2 schedules active 50 %

    3 schedules active 65%

Any other GUI screen with 3 scheduels active (different muxs) 6-9% cpu.

EPG grab wasn't actioning during this test .

Bringing up a sub menu within MYTV and the cpu drops to normal like any other GUI page.

See attached. I have had to go non-fullscreen as when fullscreen bringing up the snipping tool in VISTA causes cpu to drop from actual as you leave MP focus.

I hope this will be solved until next friday - somebody said RC2 will be released - i think it must resolved before RC2 goes online.
