    Hi!

Tried to install TVE3 for a family member. No luck.
As soon as I close the setuptv app. the tvservice.exe process climbs in memory usage from about 20mb to 100mb, then it quietly crashes with no funny stuff indicated in the server logs.

Instead if I "end-task" the setup.exe from within taskmanager, then no problem with the tvservice.exe process - it continues to live and consumes no extra memory.
But if I do a normal shutdown of setupTV by hitting "OK" then I am in trouble.

    I am using tvengine3-05-30-2007--01-23h--Rev14754.

1 hybrid card setup as described in the wiki.
    asustek tiger-s dvb-t and analog.
    Just installed latest BDA drivers.

All channels are found with no problems.
(using ms sql 2005, also tried mysql.)

    ideas ?

The exact same thing happens when I use my dvb-t usb stick that I know works on my own personal setup at home.

    enabled plugins are;
    powersch.
    xmltv
    conflict man.

    disabling them makes no diff.

So,a quick test. Disabling EPG grabbing allows you to close SetupTv.exe?

    Same as here:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tvserver_rev15077_crashes_pressing_ok_key_exit-t25167.html

However it does not crash silently, it gives me an error:

The instruction at 0x20b0d039 referenced at 0x00000000. The memory could not be written.

Click ok to terminate the program
Click on cancel to debug the program.

No plugins enabled. Channel search went OK. Notice that it crashes also when exiting Mediaportal itself not just setupTV.

I can add that i had similar error messages (memory could not be read/written) before, but somehow I dont get it anymore.
