Hmm.. That would suggest that the object carousel that contains the data we need isn't being broadcast on the channel you are viewing. Could be like you say, service not launched yet. Either that or it's being broadcast in a hidden way, which is possible. We would have to debug and recompile rb-dowload package with mods. Probably best you wait until the service is launched then try again.

    Thanks for your efforts.

Cool as. I'll keep an eye on it; the service launches in May. Just let me know if there is anything I can do. Whats the chance of what you are doing for mheg in the UK will be compatible with our NZ setup? I know that a guy in NZ had to create a patch for myth so that it would work with NZ mheg: http://www.mythtv.co.nz/mythtv/
Ah I just noticed he mentions on that page: "I’ve looked at the rb-download tool but it doesn’t appear to understand the NZ streams."
Oh well, I've got a good dual boot ubuntu 6.1 setup now which is handy.
    Cheers,
    Rhys

Was my attachment any good? I got the mheg files using the DC-DVB source program with its mhp plugin from here: http://www.dsp-worx.de/?n=11. There was some talk on their forums about getting mheg-5 working with that program and a mention of media-portal I believe.

The MHEG engine I'm working on is basically a port of the Myth TV one. So I'll catch any bugs that get fixed in it and port them across.

The patch looks quite straight forward. Looks like a change to the input encoding and use of a couple of unimplemented ResidentProgram opcodes. I'll keep it in mind as I implement.

Snakeman65, sorry I didn't spot your attachment, just took a look at it and it looks perfect. I'll see if the engine will load it. Thanks.

First run through with a fully downloaded broadcasted MHEG application........Broke it. :(

Looks like I have one or two bugs that need fixing. The good news is that it parsed the application startup file and even started executing it, but it threw an exception when it tried setting an indirect reference to a variable.

Hopefully a screenshot isn't too far away.
