UK TV & Radio Logos (4 Viewers)

Idea. Currently i'm making (well trying to) logos for all available TV and Radio channels on sky. I'm 2/3 of the way! The Maya logos are just transparent versions of the thumbs template and can be quite simply 'dropped' onto the template then alter the background to match the station branding.

If someone would be willing to do the dropping of the logos into the template then both could be maintained together.

All the logos I make get synced to the mp-plugins svn so if you use tortoiseSVN you can check out the 300 or so logos I've done so far... Linky: SourceForge.net Repository - [mp-plugins] Index of /trunk/plugins/UKTVThumb/Maya/logos/tv

PS if anyone knows or has the current Sky font or is clever with inkscape let me know on PM. I can't not make the Sky movies channels logos not look shite. The font just ends up a mess...

I had a slight issue with 5*(aka 5star, was previously FIVER), with my freeview scan the channel was named as 5*, the problem then is that you can't use the * character in a windows filename. So instead of making the icon match the channel name, I had to rename the channel itself to 5star. Bit of a shame as I would have liked to have kept all the channel names as they are scanned.
Nothing anyone can do unless 5 decide to change the name of this channel... again! lol

Dude just replace the * in the filename with an underscore charactor _ it will work fine then (it does actually explain this in the wiki.. if the channel contains a charactor that isn't allowed in the filename, just replace them with underscores) Channel Logos - MediaPortal Wiki

As a newcomer to MP using the miroslav22 Sky UK/IT/AUS enhancements
EPG grabber with MP 1.1.2 I'd be grateful if anyone one could
point me to a place where I can find out how to install TV and radio channel

Use the MediaPortal Extension Installer (MPEI) package installed with Media portal - run it - make sure it's up to date and install the extensions you wish

I've redone a couple the Challenge logos, as I found the grey background clashed a bit with the logo itself. It's probably just a personal preference which is why I remade them, but I thought I'd share in case anyone else felt the same.
