Un-install Tv Server (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Something went wrong with my uninstall of the TV3.

I still had it in my Add/remove programs but was not able to remove or repair it.

When i try to re- install it tells me that it already are installed ind the program stops .

I manuelt deleted everything there had the name TV server or TV engine (also in "doc. and settings/application data), was running a Easy Cleaner to clean the registery files but nothing helps.

Been searching on the forum but could not find any other solution than them i already tried.

Can anybody help me with the location of this file there stop my new installation before i get so mad i format my HTPC

I don't know for sure but I think it is probably still a registry thing, try running regedit and searching for anything related to mediaportal, service or anything else related you can thing of and delete that, have a look at where it it it may even be appropriate to delete the whole section. be careful what you delete but if it is mediaportal related you should be fairly safe.

did you try reinstalling the same version so that you could then uninstall it properly or doesn't that work either?

I remember that there is a command line to force the installer to re-install, but can't remember what the actual line is.
Hopefully someone else will come along who can help a little bit more

Thats write, now that you mention it there are. it looks like maybe /fa http://support.microsoft.com/kb/227091. there seems to be lots that may help in the /f section

I managed to get around it running regedit and delete everything from media portal. I think the problem was HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>System>CurrentControlSet>Servic es>TVserver when i deleted reg file everything was okay.
