Hi all :)

The message "Unable to create graph" appears everytime I try configure my card and as a result of this, I cannot watch TV. The question is why? The card is set to use the Hauppauge WINTV MPEG2 Demuxer as video decoder and Intervideo NonCSS Audio decoder for Haupauge as audio decoder. Tried the other ones available in the list of codecs without results.

Anybody got any ideas? What has gone wrong here?

Attached log files from MP Test Tool.

Thanks!

Are you using these drivers http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/support/support_driversonly.html

Will look at your logs, but just to let you know that it does work with Vista32\xpsp2 with MP0.2.3.0

Are you sure you have not got the TD500 (Diversity, identified by 2 aerial inputs) version, which is being exchanged for the old type T500 because of tuning failure (that why you cannot find the TD500 on website).

Nope, no diversity version here, I actually checked that when i bought the card. Not sure if those are the drivers, used the ones on the Hauppauge CD 4.0. Will try using these ones now. :) Thanks!

    Problem Solved

    Hello,

I was having the same problem with a Hauppauge WinTV Nova T 500 card and MediaPortal. In the configuration I kept getting "Unable to create graph". I solved it by updating Windows XP SP1 to SP3 (at the time of writing SP3 is a release candidate). It now scans the channels sucessfully. You may have to fiddle with the video and audio codecs under Settings -> My TV to get a picture and sound.

Search for XP SP3 on Google and go to the Microsoft page. It may be fine with SP2 - but I never installed this. Hope this helps.

SP2 introduced problems for some people, which is why I've always held off MS updates if I'm not having problems.

In some strange way reinstalling the complete Hauppage driver and application package solved the problem, I guess something was missing. :)

Strange cos i only ever use the mce driver download, and MP finds everything fine including remote.

More than likely if you did not use hcwclear first, may not have uninstalled previous drivers (reboot required) correctly.

That's why prerequisites for installing Mediaportal are all M$ updates.

Never had a problem with T500 being found.

Hi Paranoid Delusion, ive read in lots of post that u have this card working without problems, by any chances is there any configuration guide for it so it will not fail when restarting from suspend mode? or any other tip usefull?

i just order it and cant wait to get it to start my tv server experience with mp after having full satisfaction with the rest of the features.

    thanks !!:D
