Unable to play a recorded program (1 Viewer)

Hi

I have noticed that sometimes I am unable to watch a show that i'v recorded. This has happened a few times and i haven't found an explanation and just blamed it on the tv-card nog locking on to the signal (are having some troubles when card has been idle for long).

But today i tested the recorded ts-file in windows media player and it works there. But in MP the skin just freezes for a second when i try to start the recording and nothing more.

Have replicated under debug-mode and attached the logs. Have the ts but it's too big to upload.
(I know WHS is not supported and so on)

Is there something I can add to get some response ? Maybe cut out 1 min of the ts in the beginning and upload ?

Have you tried different codecs?

Tried adjusting the audio settings (prefered AC3, Language, etc)?

Hi

Just tried with both Microsoft and MPC-HC as codecs, no luck. Tried setting ac3, no luck.

This is only happening sometimes and on different channels.

Edit: Noticed that when i try to play it there is a speaker-icon appearing and it starts to count seconds.

Edit2: Copied the ts to my laptop and tried to open it in TsSniper (posted here on the forums today) but it said it could not open the file. Tried to brute force parse the file but it contained no video according to TsSniper.

Opening it in MPC-HC (where it plays fine) and viewing properties shows this:

I have the same problem.

I scheduled some recordings during a day on the same channel; some TS files are OK other are KO.

I checked differences using Mediainfo and found this:

But corrupt file has a size similar to the correct one. I mean it contains the video stream.

I can open the file correctly only using VLC and going after the first few seconds. It seems like the first part of the file is corrupted.

This happens in 20/30% of recorded files.
Can you help us?
