Thanks I'll give that a go!

Any ideas why I can only play certain m2ts files?

If they are VC-1i then you will have hard times to make them working - MPC-HC/FFDShow decoder doesnot support VC-1i...

Is my only choice then to purchase PowerDVD9 or TMT3?

Well, you will be able to play VC-1i by OS intergrated MS decoder - make sure you enable it START - SAF - MS DMO - enable. But no DXVA will be in use.
If you have unlocked SAF, you can try to setup PDVD video decoder for h.264...

I'm running the locked version of SAF. I don't have PDVD yet as I was hoping to use the built in players in Media Portal/Moving Pictures. I'll enable the MS decoder and see how that goes.

Thanks for all your help and your wonderful codec pack!

:D

OK I unlocked SAF and enabled the MS Decoder but I still am unable to play the VC-1 discs and now I have some more of the blocking/banding issues. Star Trek was fine before but is now having the issue as well as Iron Man.

Update:

I changed rendering from EVR to VRM9 and now I have no troubles (so far) playing Iron Man. So as it turns out I have also stumbled upon something else. It turns out that I can not play any BDs that have DTS-MA as the audio track. All the DD/True HD ones play fine.

Also, MPC-HC will play all the files, though I haven't tested audio yet.

Thoughts?
