Hello,
I have a standalone installation of mediaportal on my livingroom computer and a client only installation on an Acer Revo Aspire in my bedroom.
My problem is with the client computer. Everything was fine until a few days ago, when Windows updated itself and rebooted. Now, I cannot play any live TV or any recorded TV on this client computer no matter what I do.
I keeps saying "unable to play stream x", where x changes depending on which channel I try and watch - e.g. could be 2.0 or 3.0. When I try and play a recorded program, it says a similar thing except the stream name is a mixture of numbers and letters.
I did have a similar problem quite a while back and upon reinstalling Mediaportal and my Firewall program, it started to work again (leading me to suspect that the Firewall was the problem).
I have tried disabling my firewall, reinstalling it, changing my version of Mediaportal, changing Firewall programs (I had a go with Windows Firewall instead) but I just cannot get anything to stream on this computer.
I would be really grateful if someone could help me out here, as I don't know what to do other than do a complete re-install of Windows.
BTW, my current setup is:
Windows 7, Comodo Firewall (Windows Firewall disabled), Avast Antivirus, Mediaportal 1.1.2.
Thanks very much.
