    Hi Guys

I have just completely setup a new MP system (new server and re-installed client). All was working just fine today, but this evening, the client will not play any live or recorded TV (all other media is fine).

I have tried disabling the client and server firewalls etc, but I just can't get it to work.

Can anyone give me a pointer please.

    Logs attached.

    Thanks

    Robbo100

Sorry, this is running with MP1.3.0 Alpha by the way, and the TV plays fine in single seat mode on the server itself (it is only a problem on the client PC)

Have you got any AV or the like installed?
Also did you check the windows firewall as well as any thing you have installed?
Can you access guide from client?

    Hi there,

As has been said...check firewall...check the port is open...etc.

    Hi mate,

I have fully disabled the firewall on both client and server.

I have disabled the AV too

I can get the guide and see the list of recorded programmes in the recorded programmes list.

I noticed the MediaPortal.XML issue, but I am not sure how to fix it.

I have just installed MP client on a spare laptop and it has the same problem, do it is definitely a server side issue. I might backup the TV channels and try for a reinstall of MP on the server, to see if it will autoreconfigure the firewall etc again.

Unless anyone has any other suggestions.

    Try changing the streaming port
Also try running MP as admin on client
Another thing is it says it is streaming to 127.0.0.1 not sure where you set this but I think this should be the IP if the server

    Jameson,

If I wasn't absolutely knackered (and if it wan't a slightly odd thing to do), I would get in the car and drive 2 hours to Birmingham with a slab of beer.

You sir, are a star! I notched it up to 555 and it instantly worked!

Any ideas on the MediaPortal.xml issue?

    Rob

    J,

I will have a look in the morning, but thanks for the continued support.

I have a single user account as the administrator and no specific UA settings

I think this has got me before but there was a bug with something not being initialized properly and ended up as port 0 and I thought we fixed that...

@mm1352000 does this ring any bells?

It is certainly a new one on me!

I am trying to think if I did anything to prompt it happening, but can't think of anything in particular (in fact I have had the server unplugged most of the day while I drilled holes in the wall).

The Mediaportal.xml issue has been there (on the server) since I did the install, but not on the client until I started mucking with the setting to fault find this issue. Now I have it on both :)
