I had to use the network address ("\\machine\sharename\folder"), ie. browse the network for the share. However from my 5 minutes of testing at lunch time, although it started the TV, the picture stopped after 1 frame (or so), and just sat there. MP was still operational, however I could not "watch" anything per say.

aswede,

Sounds like you've mapped the "M:" drive under a different user account to the one that the TV-Service is running ..... you should really use the network (UNC) path - ie. \\yourserver\sharename ..... that way you don't need to worry about which users have a particular drive mapping or not.

Cheers,
Craig

rampage101 ..... I wonder if the network lag is just to slow to support the timeshifting buffer .... I know sometimes, personally, if I have two recordings going on my PC then try to watch live TV, it can have problems with all the disk activity that's going on. I'd imagine that writing over the network is going to be slower than local disk, so that could explain your issue. You'd have to check the logs and see exactly what was going on

Cheers,
Craig

    I having problems as well:
    Error.log says:

[Scheduler timer]: Exception : System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: En del af stien 'Z:\system\recorded\dvbs-recorded\Dinosaur King' blev ikke fundet.

"En del af stien" (danish) = "Part of the path"
"blev ikke fundet" (danish) = "was not found"

Network drive mapped as, Z:\ on local account Administrator
    TV-service running as administrator!!!

My config is MediaPortal + TV server 1.0.1.0

Before upgrading from MP+TV 1.0.0.0 to 1.0.1.0 there where no problem recording to the mapped network drive.
