Unable to start graph / start timeshifting... Timed out waiting for PMT (2 Viewers)

Can all of you having problems with graph starting try this version of tvlibrary. This will release all filters after graph is stopped so next time tv is started those will be re-created. Compiled for 1.1.0 Alpha only. Please state if this helps or not.

Gave it a quick check: Worked twice fine with simple use cases (watching single TV channel) Starting a recording and tuning to a different transponder worked fine as well. Tuning to the same transponder I was recording on leaded again to the "graph not available" message. Retuning to other channels was nearly impossible (stuttering video etc) and lead finally to a prewarningless PC reboot

But thanks nevertheless. Watching TV seems to be possible first of all

Will test more deeply tomorrow.

Hi,

tested yesterday and today. TV still works Nevertheless, the problem with services on the same transponder, if all cards are occupied is still exisiting. There was no crahs anymore, but the messsage "unable to create graph" was shown with the possibility to return to the previous service. Worked fine this time.

Please rescan your channels to be sure that PMT values are correct - there is fix also coming for this issue. From logs it can be seen that this is not graph starting problem. Can you see RTL World VOX at all?

So this fix is working as should but we are discussing internally what is the best way to handle this. At least we now know that this is all about graph starting problem in most cases.

As written, this problem only occurs, if all cards are occupied and two services from one card should be decoded. In "normal" zapping mode (without any recording) channel reception is no problem. Furthermore, PMT PIDs doesn't change often for German FTA broadcasters (except regional split ups).

It's good for me that the fix works, but I'm quite surprised about the missing feedback from others.

I can only say that I gave up on watching TV with Mediaportal and bought a standalone TV SAT receiver since I reported my problems about 6 weeks ago and five pages back in this thread.
Since my MediaPortal setup on my HTPC still is 1.0.2 and I don't have the time right now to setup a 2nd PC I can't really test this patch, sorry!

I am aware I am not very constructive, but I want to say that I have not given up on Mediaportal TV and appreciate all the hard work you devs invest into solving this problem! Thanks a lot!

I will test again this weekend, but it seems that my problem may be caused by something different after all.

Please upgrade to 1.1.0 beta when released as there you can turn this graph reset on or off easily. Also this issue is now in Mantis tool.

Note: this is not final fix for this issue but like a workaround. We are investigating this.

I immediately get "unknown error" with this dll when I try to tune to a channel (no matter if HD or SD). I tried with 1.1.0 Alpha and latest SVN.
