this is not exactly the issue discussed here:
    Code:
    2009-09-15 11:57:00.143167 [18]: WaitForPMT: Waiting for PMT 125
    2009-09-15 11:57:00.143167 [18]: WaitForPMT: Found PMT after 0,0009765 seconds.
    2009-09-15 11:57:00.144144 [18]: subch:0 SendPmt:E7 7D FFFFFFFF 1
    2009-09-15 11:57:00.144144 [18]: WaitForPMT: waiting for SendPmtToCam 0,9765 seconds.

this means you receive the PMT, but it failed to send it to CAM for descrambling

I think it could be a problem of you CAM, means it is (no longer?) ready to receive the PMT to descramble. Sometimes the CAM requires a "reset" command.

Are you able to reproduce the issue? I expect it works again, if you restart tvservice ?

Well the channel works fine in FireDTV Viewer and have worked in MP before Beta.
The problem is constant - even after a restart of tvservice it doesnt work :(

Hi there, I have the same problem but only with one channel (National Geographic Channel, DVB-C, Denmark). It worked before Beta and it works fine with FireDTV Viewer.

I have tried reinstalling and different drivers and firmware for FireDTV with no luck.

Running MP Beta, FireDTV-C (currently newest firmware and driver) on Windows Vista SP2.

I get this error in the TV.log:

If needed by developers, just say when and I will do my best to test any workarounds.

    /Mantis

    Mantis,

    please follow the following steps:

    • stop tvservice
    • delete all related logs
    • start setuptv
    • confirm about starting tvservice
    • preview that channel
    • exist setuptv
    • stop tvservice

Pack the complete log dir under Tv-Server and attach the resulting zip/rar here.

Hi there, thanks for the reply :)

    I have followed the steps.
    - Stopped service
    - Entered setup
    - Start timeshifting for non encrypted channel (working)
    - Start timeshifting for encrypted channel (working)
    - Start timeshifting for encrypted channel (the one not working)
    - Recieved the "could not start graph" error, stopped the service.

    Hope the logs can help

    /Mantis

For a couple of days I have been running 1.1.0 Beta with a very recent SVN which has a patch for the "missing PMT" problem. So far, it has not failed once. Tried rebooting, a number of hibernate/wake cycles, and I haven't had a missed channel.

    See here

Unfortunately I am having a number of other problems with this version (mainly that it will not wake from hibernate - doesn't seem to post a scheduled job to make wake-up happen) so I cannot use it in "production" mode, but as far as the PMT thing is concerned, it's looking good for a fix. I would suggest that others who have regular "PMT timeouts" give it a go. The wakeup thing might be a local configuration problem so I wouldn't let that stop you (but test first before relying on it!)

I'm re-posting in this thread as I'm trying to find the best place to get my issue looked at, please find it in your hearts to forgive me if I've got the wrong place...

"I am running 1.1.0 and I have a problem - When the PMT ID changes for a channel I lose that channel. I have tried the steps here but to no avail. I have attached logs and hope that someone may be able to take a look. I am using SVN 23684 as an attempted fix, but the problem was still there without any SVN."

Same problem here. and its not the cam thats the problem. Apart from eachother the cams work perfectly but timeshifting two channels at the same time is giving the PMT timeout problem. I hope sombody can find the problem.
