Hello everyone.
I hope some one can help me with a problem I'm having using the TV server of MediaPortal.
I just reinstalled my computer as I got a new harddrive, installed Windows 7 64 bit (just as before), updated all drivers and installed MediaPortal.
I have no problem finding all of the channels and the first time i tried to watch a channel it worked.
But when I tried to change the channel I get the "Unable to start graph - unable to start timeshift" error.
Ever since I get the error everytime I try to watch a channel, even after a reboot.
I had this a similar problem before i reinstalled my computer (also win7x64), but that problem was fixed by placing a file named "resetgraph.txt" in C: - I have done this as well but it doesn't help.
It has also been suggested that I checked if the TV server folder contained a file named "ffdesca.dll" and if so to rename it - as far as I can see there is no such file in the TV server folder.

I really hope someone has a suggestion as to what might help as I really miss the TV feature of MediaPortal...

Regards Jonas

You have to use debug options (-DebugOptions switch for TVServer config) and then do the magic in tool.

I had a "unable to start graph" error with the same TV card when I updated the driver for the Card, the driver version ending with 601 is working for me in vista.

Where did you find that driver?
When I try to find the newest driver on Terratec's website (Direct link here) the newest one I can find ends with 501.

I tried running the TVSetup.exe with the -DebugOptions trigger but I couldn't spot any difference??
BTW - It didn't work in debugmode either - works the first time, when I change the channel the error pop up

With debug options you enable hidden choices which are in separate section in config tool.

I have the same problem as JonasHermansen. Manfred, what do you mean ''debug options''. Hot to enable them, where to get there... :) thanks

Hmm then I probably don't do it correctly.
I open a command window (run cmd), navigate to the TV server folder, and type setuptv -DebugOptions - Then the TV configuration opens, but there is extra section?
Furthermore - do you have any idea about what I should look for in the Debug Section when I get that far?
I can't seem to find any guides to Debug of the TV Server.

When I try to find the newest driver on Terratec's website (Direct link here) the newest one I can find ends with 501.
The older driveres can be found on the terratec ftp server here: Index of /Receiver/Cinergy_C_PCI_HD/Update/History

With the 1.01.01.501 driver I also had the "unable to start graph" error, but the 1.01.00.601 works for me. But as I said I'm on Vista so this might or might not help you.... but I guess it might be worth to try.

I'm very sorry but I have tried to use the search but I wasn't able to find a solution - at least not one that I could understand.
It says to run SetupTv.exe --DebugOptions - But I have a couple of questions regarding that.
1: Do I have to install the SVN you linked in your last post before I am able to do this? If so how? The link says: Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup. - What is the Snapshot-Installer and where can I find it.
2: Must TV-setup be run with the DebugOptions everytime or just once to enable "resetgraph"?

I'm sorry to be a bother, but many of the guides/helps I have found assume a lot of insintric knowledge that I don't have - and don't think most uses will have.
Your help is very much appreciated :D
