Hmm, that should do it... as long as the recording has the ComSkip .txt file with it you should be fine.

If you can't get it to work then attach a log file and I'll take a look.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for helping.

I am starting playback a few seconds before the first comm.

At 04:52:38.187500 there is an entry in the log for "Chapter file found..." as well as "Automatic ComSkip mode is on".

I let it play. Comm starts. Nothing happens. After a few more seconds I press I on the remote to see the timeline. Press it again to see context menu. Press it again to take it away.
    Seek back 15 seconds.
    Stop.

    Hope you can spot something.

Looks like the file isn't seeking.

The ComSkip component of the code is working, but the seek request isn't being handled by the player code.

I'll see what I can find, but it may fix itself with a newer SVN...

I'll have a chat with the devs that know more about file seeking.

    Cheers,

I am currently running 0.2.3 with svn of 2007-12-09.
Will try and upgrade to latest SVN within the next 12 hours and see what happens.

I am following a lot of other threads on this forum and your commitment to try and help others is amazing. Great work!

I installed the latest SVN and did not see any change in behaviour.

However - A closer look at the timeline revealed that some of the adds are indeed skipped. I guess it just relates back to your previous statement "ComSkip will always err on the side of caution". I decided to test with another show and guess what - it worked with that.

Have a look on the ComSkip website for information about tweaking your comskip ini file. Or do a search for one someone has already setup for your area.

    Good luck with it mate,

    Cheers,
