Hi There!

I'm using the My TV Series plugin for quite a while now and this is the first time I encountered this issue. I have several episodes of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart", most of them were added manually by me as the importer could not match the file names to the tvdb info.

Since I manually assigned some more episodes of the show I now see the show and seasons in the "Unwatched" view, however I watched all episodes and when I check the episodes they are all greyed out, hence watched.
I could not find any errors or hints in the logs and this show is the only one with this problem.

Why are those episodes and seasons shown in the "unwatched" view?

thanks & best regards
Terra

Did nobody had such a probem yet?

I'm still having it, haven't found any switch or option that influenced this.
I can provide logs or the DB if you tell me that is what you need...

I've never encountered this issue, even when manually assigning some episodes.

My guess is that the episode ID isn't matching up internal with what thetvdb/trakt use.

Open MP-TVSeries config, goto your series overview, locate the series and navigate the [+] down till u found the episode in question. Enable the checkbox on 'view hidden' as well. More then likely you have some issues at that level, or when you highlight the episode the ID doesn't match that of TheTVdB.

Easiest way to solve that is to right click the episode (or season) and do "Delete" -> "From database"... this will erase the 'bad' entries, and then when you run another import it will fix it.

Hi and thanks for the reply!
I actually see ALL seasons even though there is not a single episode I haven't watched and also the season menu buttons are greyed out (indicating that no unwatched episodes are there).
I just tried it again and in case I want to select a season from the menu and press Enter nothing happens now. The MP-TVSeries.log reports this:

    00000001 - 18.04.2012 22:42:47 - Nothing to display, going out
    00000001 - 18.04.2012 22:42:47 - Nothing to display, going out
    00000001 - 18.04.2012 22:42:48 - Nothing to display, going out
    00000001 - 18.04.2012 22:42:49 - Nothing to display, going out

I would like to avoid removing all episodes from the Database and adding it again manually, it was actually quite a lot of work to add those 230 episodes...

You do realize MP-TVSeries has undergone many updates including support for airdate right?

A show like "The Daily Show" can import episodes fully automatic if you have a filename such as for example: The.Daily.Show.2012.04.17.Julia.Louis-Dreyfus.HDTV.XviD-FQM.avi

Just make sure you 'reset' your import parsing expressions, because new ones were added to filter out the airdates properly and when you update those are not added to preserve your custom expressions.

Interesting. There was a Feature Request for this quite a while ago on the Google Code Site but my last information was that the airdate is not supported by TVDB. I will try to reset my expressions and give it a try by reimporting.

    thanks for the hint!

It was added July 28th 2011 via: http://code.google.com/p/mptvseries/source/detail?r=1794

And was publicly released via v2.9.3 and has been a part of it since.

But it can indeed be easy to overlook the changelog sometimes, and as stated you only get the benefits on some of these new things if you 'reset' things, as MP-TVSeries tries to not break anything you already have. So to get the new parsing expressions you need to apply that 'reset' method. For a user who doesn't dabble in their own expressions that is an easy step to do as they don't have to bother preserving their custom ones, and the user who has made custom ones will know how to 'save' those and then 'restore' after a 'reset'.

    Enjoy.

Just chiming in here, another way to see only unwatched episodes in view is to use the new Unwatched Filter in TVSeries 3.3.0. You can apply that to any view e.g. ALL.
