With c:/svnroot/mediaportal/trunk as path the compilation doesn't work, at least with msbuilder and nullsoft installer. The problem is, that [the path] exceeds 254 characters, causing the build installer to break off. This is a normal windows limitation.

Everything works if you use c:/ , because then you stay under 254 characters.

Maybe this can be noted.

I've not experienced this problem, when using Windows 7 - 64bit.

Just compiled my own first MP SVN Version including mpc-hc patches and atmolight fix!

I also tried my first compilation today...
Since I use Eastern European regional settings (English Win XP with Czech settings), I had problems compiling the TV Server - building the installer failed to copy the DVB-T tuning parameter files with Western European characters in their names. After switching to US regional settings (and rebooting) it compiled... but I still see for example the French filenames corrupted (e.g. France.Alčs (Ermitage).xml).

It's obviously because of the command prompt codepages usage, etc.

Is this a known issue? How comes the official builds are okay?

One requirement for installing the SDK is that the .NET Framework 3.5 (and SP1) are installed. There are different language versions of the .NET Framework 3.5 and the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 that may be causing it. Not entirely sure though - best to wait for comments from a dev

Well, no, this should not be the cause...
It has to do with different codepages used in the command prompt console (plus the text console uses different codepage than the GUI programs, e.g. CP437 vs. CP1252 for US regional settings, CP850 vs. CP1252 for Wester European regional settings, CP852 vs. CP1250 for Eastern European regional settings, etc.).

Hi is anyone else having a problem with the DirectShowFilters repo. {team-mediaportal server}

Every time I try to SVN checkout I get an error on 'TsWriter.ax' and the checkout fails.

Yup, the Debug build of the TsWriter gives me this error too.
Had to exclude this directory from the checkout and it worked.

Hi MP Team.

Thanks for the good work on MP 1.1.0 RC2. The changes look very promising!
And the update possibility is great!


One question though:
I read a lot of people having troubles watching TV (DVB-S(2)) with RC1 in a multi seat setup, after resume.
A lot of bugreports with logfiles have been posted in the proper forum, two examples:

But still it is not considered as a bug, at least I can not find anything back in the MP/TVServer RC2 roadmap.
