    Hi,

    Related to this Mantis : -->> MP1-2803 <<--
    Branch related -->> here <<--
    Link for Full Installer : link -->> here <<--

    We use an old version of MySQL51 for TV, maybe it's time to upgrade it :)
    It can do better performance and also being compatible with/for TVE35.

    2013.10.19 : New installer should handle (Error MySQL) and uninstall 5.1 to avoid broken MySQL service.

    2013.10.06 : New installer should be able to update MySQL on Upgrade (1.5.0 Final)

    2013.10.01 : New installer based on current master (1.5.0 Final)

    2013.09.08 : New installer based on current master (1.5.0 Pre_Release)

    2013.05.18 : New installer based on 1.4.0 Pre_Release

    2013.05.12 : New installer based on Master (setuptv import should be fixed)

    2013.05.08 : New installer based on Master and with couple of fix

    2013.05.05 : New installer based on Master

    2013.04.15 : Attached Installer

    What need testing :
    • Look if upgrade goes fine and if all is working correctly
    • Look if all is ok on fresh Installation
    What the installer will do :
    • Installer will download MySQL 5.6 in place of MySQL5.1
    • It will only download and upgrade if MySQL5.1 is installed (that mean if you already update your MySQL to 5.5 for ex., the installer will not upgrade your current 5.5 installation).
    • All will be follow a standard installation

    Thanks :)

    Thank you for the answer.
    Too bad the Weekend is over. I would love to try.

    But don't be too sad.. A new weekend will arrive soon! ;)

    I am running MySQL 5.6 allready for around 2 months or something like that.. Everything is running just fine. I need to say that I can't see huge performance differents or something like that, but it's a good feeling to run something news. :)

    OK, next dumb question...

    If I start the update, should there be an option to allow the MySQL update or do I have to make SQL update separately?

    It will detect if MySQL 5.6 is installed on your system, and if not, it will be downloaded/installed automaticly! Just do a standard installation, than everything should be installed fine.
