Thanks! :D Now just the small issue with resume left to fix ;)

    Good news!
I've made great progress today and I will release a new version (RarMount3) that supports resuming, subtitles, large files, multiple files per RAR archive, etc. etc. And there will be no need for ImDisk.
I will also create a Windows application that works pretty much as WinMount 3, and enables you to mount RAR archives in Windows by a context menu option.
Compressed RAR archives will still not be supported (but it is possible to add that later on).

It will take me some time to finalize this, so please have patience. Thanks!

    And here it is.
The free alternative to WinMount (and similar).

    Rar Mount 3

The application and the RAR engine is written in C# and I've stared to create a MediaPortal plugin based on this mounting engine.
    More to come ...

Nice, i was using RarMount2 but I had some issues when sometime I had to restart my HTPC to get back in sync with ImgDisk driver. I've been using the DirectShow filter : RARFileSource which doesn't require any additionnal tools to be installed and have been very happy with it so far.

But I might try RarMount3 because of the "multiple files" in an archive support.

    Thank you for your work,

    Christophe

EDIT: It's a confirmed bug. I'm working to resolve the issue right now.
Please update to version 0.1.1 when it's released.

EDIT2: This issue is resolved. Thanks for reporting it. All users are recommended to download the new version (0.1.1).

    System requirements:
Windows Vista / XP (32 bit)
    .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
Unlimited Windows account (i.e. you must be an admin)
    Disabled UAC

If you still can't install it, please drop a line in the Rar Mount forum. I don't think we should spam Mediaportal's forum with support tickets.
