If I'm going to upgrade at all it will be a pcie 1x solution, since my motherboard don't have 16x and it's expensive with fast mobile cpus. It might be hard to decode h264 in 1080p with my setup, core 2 dou 1,66mhz.

Im mostly intrested in something helping me decode x264 1080p files.
I have a ATI Radeon 1900XT card that suports somekind of aceleration, but i cant get it to work with x264 files

Now if this suggestion would help me i would be highly intrested :)

best current solution for decoding x264 is Fast CPU if you are using ffdshow decoder. or a medium dual core if you are using CoreAVC decoder.
