I am sorry but I don't use standby.
Have you tried running IRSS as an application instead of a service? Jon indicated that connecting to the USBUIRT from a service is complicated. This may move you around the error.
In the case of the problem I was troubleshooting, if I had setup IRSS as an application I probably wouldn't have had a problem.
I will forward on your comment to Jon but I am not sure he will have enough to troublehoot. It maybe that IRSS is not handling the resume from standby correctly in the case of the USBUIRT
