Last night I went in to create a set of debug logs hopeing to get more information on my I couldn't get the USB-UIRT blaster to change the channel on my STB. For whatever reason, it is working. I am not sure what, if anything, I did in the 24 hr between the 2 attempts.

So now on to the next item.

Well that is a bizarre one! I guess we can't really complain if something starts working, but it is a bit infuriating to not know why it wasn't working before and not know what changed to make it start working. Just one of those things I guess...

Anyhow thanks for reporting back and don't hesitate to let us know if you have any further trouble.

    Best regards,

I was wondering if there regular/nightly builds of the beta version of MediaPortal 1.2 available? It looks like MediaPortal is written n C#. Is that correct? If so can it be compiled with the express version?

After a reinstall of Media portal to try and resolve a different problem, I am now back to the point where I can't get TV3Server and IRSS to change the channel on my stb.

The installation was seeminly flawless with the TV3Server plugin being installed in the TVServer plugins folder and showing up correctly in the TVServer configuration.

I configured stb im TV3Server. I was lucky in that I had a stb that was in the list (Motorola DCT-2000 compatible) so I configure the tuner that uses the STB to output DCT-2000 IR codes. When I use test to change the channel nothing happens.

I ahve attached the logs. THe IR server log has an ominous error

Technotrend: exception Unable to load DLL 'ttBdaDrvApi_Dll.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) so perhaps that is the cause.

I have confirmed that the file is in the tvserver folder.

Interestingly, within the MediaPortal Configuration remote tab, where I disabled the MCE remote, I can configure Media Portal to use the USB-UIRT and from that location, I can change the stb channel.

    Appreciate any help.

    Hi again Ian

I was wondering if there regular/nightly builds of the beta version of MediaPortal 1.2 available?
Not for 1.2.x. The team used to provide them for 1.1.x and possibly also 1.0.x. My understanding is that the plan is to provide them again for 1.3.x.

It looks like MediaPortal is written n C#. Is that correct?
    Yes. :)

If so can it be compiled with the express version?
VS 2010 express you mean? If so, yes. Note that some people have had problems compiling on 64 bit versions of Windows.

I ahve attached the logs. THe IR server log has an ominous error

Technotrend: exception Unable to load DLL 'ttBdaDrvApi_Dll.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) so perhaps that is the cause.
You must be still running MP 1.2.0b? Have you installed the VC++ 2008 redistributable from -->here<-- (you want the x86 one, regardless of whether your OS is 64 bit). Try that, restart the PC, then see how you go.

Ok trying to follow your instructions (with alittle adlibing)

    1. Installed 1.20RC. THe installer claimed that the VC++ redistributable was alread installed.
    2. Installed the redistpackage making sure to pick the x86 version. This computer is running Win7 32bit so that should be the correct package regardless
    3. Started up TVServer Config and went to the TV3Server stb setup. Reselect Motorola 6200 just to be safe. Test sending channel 620 YES it works. BUT!

    4 Exit TVServer Config
    5. Go into MediaPortal Try changing to channel 700 and I get 777
    6. Media portal complains that USB-UIRT device nolonger installed.
    7. Exit MediaPortal go back to TVServerCOnfig. Nothing works. IRSS is greated out. Reboot and IRSS is Green but I am getting the same error as before 'ttBdaDrvApi_Dll.dll': The specified module could not be found. At this point I can nolonger blast via IRSS

I promise! I am not making this up <grin>. This configuration is just not working.

I will upload a complete set of logs. Again I can't stress enough how much I appreciate your time and effort.

I am not sure which one you need. There are several xml files in the IRSS ProgramData folder.

I'm not sure which ones I need either - I mean I've never used IRSS. I'm just matching log output up with IRSS code and it is quite hard to follow without knowledge of what IRSS is reading in from its config file(s). I guess just zip em all up and post the zip file - I'll try and find something useful...
